Project Overview
The Village owns and maintains approximately 360,000 lineal feet of sanitary, storm and combined sewers. The life expectancy of a sewer can vary, but a conservative estimate is that the useful life of a sewer is 100 years. Therefore, a rehabilitation program to repair, replace, and/or rehabilitate the existing infrastructure is required to maintain the functionality of the existing system.
Over the last decade the Village has completed a yearly sewer televising program to clean sewers and identify repairs. An analysis of the sewers that have been televised identified a number of sewers that require urgent repairs. Sewers to be repaired in the FY2021-22 program include sewers in the emergency repair category and several sewers in the immediate repair category.
Sewers to be included in the program are as follows:
Street | From | To |
La Grange Road | Calendar Avenue | Harris Avenue |
La Grange Road | Burlington Avenue | Calendar Avenue |
Leitch Avenue | Elm Avenue | Maple Avenue |
Ashland Avenue | 48th Street | 49th Street |
Ashland Avenue | 50th Street | 51st Street |
